Rose Cottage in Lydney is frequently described as clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a welcoming host. Guests appreciate the property's spaciousness, high-end furnishings, and thoughtful touches like a well-thought-out kitchen and cosy log fire. The garden and conservatory are also highlights. Some guests mention road noise and minor issues with facilities, but overall experiences are positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Guests consistently report that Rose Cottage is clean and well-maintained, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition. There are a few mentions of cobwebs, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions and the Forest of Dean. However, several guests note that the road noise is a downside, and one mentioned heavy traffic. The presence of off-street parking is seen as a positive aspect.
The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable, mentioning comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere with a log fire. There are a couple of comments about a soft mattress and water pressure issues, but these are not widespread concerns.
Facilities are generally well-received, with guests pleased by the well-equipped kitchen and extras like Netflix. Some guests suggest improvements, such as a more powerful shower and better heating. The mention of a well-designed kitchen and under-floor heating indicates good maintenance overall.
