Right from the doorstep there are a number of walking and cycling routes through the Forest of Dean, or stroll into Micheldean to find two pubs and a supermarket for any essentials. Visit the pretty riverside towns of Monmouth and Wye Valley for a memorable day trip, or travel further afield to the city of Gloucester and explore a range of historic attractions including two museums and the medieval Cathedral. A great Forest of Dean cottage for a romantic break and for discovering all that the region has to offer.

Mitcheldean is a small village on the edge of the Forest of Dean. It has a shop, two pubs and a Post Office, and is surrounded by countryside for walking and cycling. Activities in the Forest of Dean include caving, high ropes, horse riding and more.
