The whole family had a wonderful time at this spacious cottage.Very spacious bedrooms. Pity there was no wardrobe space.Diner/lounge area has plenty of space for everyone. Be aware that there is only one TV in the whole house, so you have to watch the same programme as everyone else. It would have been nice to have the odd TV in some of the bedrooms so people could have watched something else there.Kitchen could do with a few more utensils (including scissors!) and more cupboard space for food. The 2 large fridge/freezers held all our perishable food comfortably. We found there was a travel cot available, which we could have used, instead of bringing another. This should be advertised on the amenities to save future guests having to worry.Cottage situated on edge of village, opposite castle and church. Masses of parking spaces - we got 5 cards at the front and there are 2/3 spaces at the rear of the property as well! Plenty of routes for walking and taking the dogs out. Lots of local things to see and do, even in the winter. Cattle Country Park great for kids and just a short drive away, as is Slimbridge WWT and the swimming pool at Dursley. The Purton sunken boats and canal was a nice change and not very far away, although rather muddy and exposed to the breeze in the winter. We visited several National Trust properties as well.Plenty of pubs and cafes available in the surrounding area and the village fish and chips were nice.

Lovely house, clean, modern and had everything we needed. Beds were so comfortable, all linen was spotless. Bathrooms/kitchen were sparkling. Had such a lovely time here with my family. Could not recommend this house enough. Thank you so much for making my 40th one to remember. Only thing missing was a hot tub, but the area is close to residential areas and the town so can understand why there isnt one, but I still picked this house and would again.

Lovely house. All the family loved it. Perfect for a family gathering. A few things to mention would be that some more outside seating would be useful and a barbecue area. Also a lack of larger bowls and plates for serving food is needed and some hanging space and useable drawers in some of the rooms would be helpful .
