Tinkley Cottage is a charming property that offers a homely feel and a peaceful stay. Guests have praised its comfortable beds, lovely linen, and the presence of wildlife in the yard. The cottage's location is appreciated for its proximity to nice walks and a local pub. While some guests noted areas for improvement, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment, with many expressing a desire to return.
The cottage is generally described as clean and comfortable. However, there were minor concerns about cluster flies, which suggests room for improvement in pest control.
The location is highly regarded for its tranquility, nearby walks, and proximity to a great pub. The presence of wildlife adds to the charm, although the mention of chickens and avian flu suggests a potential concern.
Comfort is frequently mentioned positively, with comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere. However, some furniture requires maintenance, and there is a suggestion for additional blankets.
Facilities are adequate but several reviews point out the need for maintenance and updates, such as the fridge-freezer and kitchen equipment. The mention of a broken reclining sofa and small frying pan indicates some deficiencies.
While guests have noted welcome gestures such as a Christmas table decoration and a bottle of wine, these are not consistently mentioned across reviews to guarantee a score for thoughtfulness. It is important to note that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

It's a lot smaller than the pictures but for a family of 3, it was perfectly fine. The chickens were a delight and the cottage has lovely walks nearby. The owner provided logs for the Woodburner to start us off which is generous and had left some goodies for us to enjoy. A suggestion I have is for blankets downstairs to cosy up with on the sofa.

We fell in love with it for the second we stepped into the property - clean, nice cosy and spacious. Tge beds in both rooms are comfortable and we had good sleeps. A couple of minors could be improved - a small bin in downstairs bath room would be convenient. The table lamp in twin room doesn't have a switch on the lead but use socket switch, which is hidden behind bedside table. Hence it is very inconvenient for the night. These minors don't impact our stay at all and we will have no problem recommending this to friends.
