ABOUT THE PARK

Oakdene Forest Park is the ideal place to stay if you want to explore the local areas. Bournemouth (9 mins), Poole (12 mins), Burley (7 mins), Christchurch (6 mins), Lyndhurst/Brockenhurst, Ringwood, New Forest & the towns of Portsmouth, Poole or Southampton. Paulton Park theme park is also very near.

The caravan park is extremely family-friendly and caters for any age group. The park boasts a wide range of facilities like a swimming pool with a slide (Depth is 1.2 meters all round with a full-time lifeguard), steam room, sauna, gym (including free weight area). Games room with pool, air hockey and a wide array of slots machines, & a fun mystery room.

The restaurant on site is excellent value and provides excellent food. It also offers takeaways. Alternatively, some fantastic pubs surround the area like Burley or Ferndown where you can enjoy a pint with the wild ponies. The park has a reasonably priced shop; however, Lidl or Sainsbury’s are just a 6 min drive away. In the entertainment area is a large bar and plenty to do for the children to keep them entertained.

The park runs a Go Active on-site and also a children's club. The facilities include handheld submarines, archery, pony tracking etc. Evening entertainment is aimed for everyone, although they start early for the young ones and then carry the night on with music/bands/singers/bingo etc. Entertainment passes are included in the cost.

ABOUT THE LODGE

The caravan that you stay in is in immaculate condition. It is situated right in a quiet cut de sac corner of the park overlooking trees and a stream nearby. Double doors lead onto the decking balcony that confronts you with dense relaxing trees. Its been very popular with guests as you can see from the top reviews we are given. We even have a BBC production company film regularly and stay at the lodge.

It comes with a large fridge/freezer, microwave and cooker, so you don't have to spend all your time eating out. If the weather is kind, you can sit out on the veranda with a glass of wine taking in the tranquil setting and watching the sun go down amongst the trees. The kitchen also has a breakfast bar.

Tea, coffee, sugar are supplied. T-towels, dishcloths, paper towels, washing up liquid and toilet rolls are also in the caravan.

You can use your Netflix account on the television. WIFI is also available free to keep the teenagers happy!

An electric effect fire is perfect for those snuggly winter months.

There is a double bedroom, with an on-suite toilet, large built-in wardrobe, dressing table and drawers. The other bedroom has two single beds in them each, but can be pushed together to make a double if you require. The Living room has a double pull out bed should you need it. A further shower room with another toilet and more storage.

The lodge has a fantastic deck that overlook the trees. The decking also has two gates if you have smaller ones you need to contain! Children cannot get access to the stream. A table and chairs with a sun umbrella are on the decking for those outside meals.

A double duvet and two single duvets, along with 8 pillows will be provided. Bed Linen and towels are not provided but can be at an additional cost of £30 . With this service, I make the beds up (apart from the pull out) for you.

The bay outside of the caravan will easily take two cars.

There are four steps to enter the veranda.
