If you are bringing a dog with you then please keep them off the soft furnishings at all times. Please keep them on a lead when outside the front of the lodge as the electric gates are in frequent use and there will be no protection from the road when they are open for your animals. There is a dog waste bin in the courtyard. Please ensure all mess is bagged and binned before departure.

We had a fantastic stay! The property is absolutely gorgeous, immaculately clean, and the beds were so comfortable. The garden is beautiful, especially the lovely water feature and the amazing hot tub. Josh couldn't resist taking the plunge! The kitchen was very well equipped. The only thing we missed was a washing machine, but there are excellent laundrettes (Ferndown) just a few minutes drive away, so it didn't impact our stay at all.There is so much to see and do in the area that we didn't even get through half of our list before running out of time. We'll definitely be back!We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return!

The place was lovely, the only downsides was the busy road, the pillows were a bit worn out, and no instructions for the oven in the hand book. But on the whole very good, and a lovely welcome pack with extras, like milk and butter tea and coffee, along with some snacks.

Second time staying at the Retreat & it did not disappoint. Stylishly decorated and impeccably clean, it’s a lovely place to spend time. The beds & couch are super comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. Love that each bedroom has its own en-suite which gives you privacy and your own space.The hottub is wonderful and the outside space is a lovely setting to sit with friends just chilling out, at night the space is extra cosy with lovely lighting & it’s perfectly safe for the dog.The hosts have thought of everything and the welcome hamper is lovely touch. Well located to reach the coast and the forest. I can’t fault the place & have already booked to return.
