If you are bringing a dog with you then please keep them off the soft furnishings at all times. Please keep them on a lead when outside the front of the lodge as the electric gates are in frequent use and there will be no protection from the road when they are open for your animals. There is a dog waste bin in the courtyard. Please ensure all mess is bagged and binned before departure.

This has been the most wonderful mini break we have ever had in the UK. Myself and partner were looking for somewhere really lovely we could escape to, away from daily life… And we were not disappointed! Johnny, the owner, must have an incredible team to maintain The Retreat to such high standards. Absolutely everything, from the decor, the equipment the cleanliness and overall attention to detail were seconded to none. I cannot recall a property we have stayed in that has actually been as clean and well equipped as this one. The photos really do not do this place justice! We were totally spoilt with hamper upon arrival, a hot tub, log burner and just overall comfort and exceptional style throughout the property. We are already planning our next break back. Although there are shops and amenities not too far away, and of course local beaches, somehow you still feel like you are in the middle of nowhere as it’s totally private and secluded. A perfect romantic break for us. Thank you for having us!

We had such a wonderful time. We booked it months in advance to surprise our children and it was everything we hoped. They even put the Christmas lights on before we arrived. Johnny couldn’t have been more helpful. The Retreat was beautiful, clean, modern and had everything we needed and then some! - the hot tub, plunge pool and wood burning fire. The nights were wonderful and the days fun. We would recommend visiting here; without a doubt. X
