Luckington Stables is highly praised for its peaceful rural setting, well-equipped cottage, and excellent hot tub with beautiful countryside views. Guests consistently mention the warm welcome and helpfulness of the host, as well as the secure garden, making it ideal for families and dog owners. While most reviews highlight cleanliness and comfort, a few note that the sofas and some kitchen items could benefit from updating, and occasional cleaning issues were mentioned. Overall, the property offers a relaxing and enjoyable stay with thoughtful touches and great access to local attractions.
Most guests found the cottage very clean and well-presented, with fresh linen and towels. However, a small number of reviews mentioned issues such as worn sofas, chipped crockery, and occasional lapses in cleaning standards, particularly for pet owners. These comments slightly lower the overall impression but do not detract significantly from the generally positive feedback.
The rural location is frequently described as peaceful, quiet, and scenic, with lovely views over fields and horses. While some guests note the need for a car to access shops and attractions, the tranquil countryside setting is a major highlight for most visitors.
Guests regularly mention comfortable beds, efficient heating, and a relaxing atmosphere. The hot tub and enclosed garden add to the comfort, though a few reviews suggest the sofas could be updated for improved relaxation. Overall, comfort is a strong point.
The property is well-equipped with a hot tub, BBQ, enclosed garden, and a utility room. The kitchen has all essentials, though some items are noted as worn. Accessibility features and thoughtful amenities for dogs are appreciated. Minor maintenance issues are mentioned but do not overshadow the positive feedback.
Many guests highlight the host's excellent communication, warm welcome, and helpfulness. Thoughtful touches such as dog treats, toys, and welcome packs are appreciated, though these are not guaranteed for every stay. The host's attention to guest needs stands out in the reviews.

From start to finish Alex the owner was warm and welcoming and very professional. The property was extremely dog friendly. The two leather sofas were a little worn but comfortable. There was a small kitchen, complete with a fridge, oven, a dishwasher, microwave and toaster. There were a number of touch ups required throughout the property, bit of peeling paint and skirting that needed replacing, but it didn’t detract from being clean and tidy. There was a decent sized to, some DVDs and board games, which was a nice touch. The bed was extremely comfy. Great sized bathroom. The garden area was fab, with a lovely decked area, hot tub? BBQ and lovely grassed area fenced in for the dogs. The view over looking horses was lovely.
