Nestled at the foot of Stoberry Park we have the Gatehouse, a Luxury holiday home perfect for couples or a small family to enjoy all that Wells and the surrounding area has to offer.
Beautifully presented and set all on the ground floor, This spacious Gatehouse has been furnished to a high standard, allowing you the perfect holiday. Gatehouse with a private garden, allowing access to Stoberry gardens by appointment only. The living room has a TV, writing desk and comfortable sofa and chairs, perfect to relax after a days exploring. Head in to the kitchen/breakfast room, which comes fantastically well equipped with everything you could need to rustle up the simplest of meals to a family feast as well as extras like a Nespresso coffee machine for your morning pick me up! Two spacious bedrooms (one with super kingsize zip and link bed – can be twins on request and one with a King size bed) share the luxury bathroom with its stunning double end slipper bath, walk in shower and heated towel rail, a separate dressing room can be found off the hall.
Outside you have two private parking spaces, a private garden with outdoor seating area and also access to the owners 6-acre estate and gardens, you could spend hours strolling round these admiring all the beautiful flowers no matter the season. Enjoy spectacular views of Wells Cathedral with Glastonbury Tor in the background from the main house.
The Gatehouse is the perfect base from which to explore the area, with Wells centre and its Cathedral just a short stroll away, meaning you are surrounded by shops and restaurants all easily reached without touching the car! Further afield you have the Vale of Avalon, Glastonbury with its quirky shops and ancient Tor, head to Wookey Hole Caves and try to spot the Wookey Witch or over to Cheddar with its famous gorge. The beautiful larger city of Bath is reached in around 45 minutes and is a wonderful spot to spend the day, stroll along the river, shop in one of the boutiques or head to the amazing thermal spa for a pamper treat! Beach 17 miles.

This was a small but perfectly formed holiday cottage, absolutely perfect for our needs. It was very comfortable and clean with high spec appliances etc. We appreciated the little welcome pack and the thoughtful extras like a birdwatching kit to take out on walks. The garden was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the owner's garden as well to marvel at the incredible views and beautiful planting. We will definitely be returning to this cottage.

Brilliant place. Amazing welcome pack, which we loved. Cottage was really great all round. Location amazing, being able to take a walk around the private garden was a real bonus and we recommend to everyone staying here. We were at the Cathedral a couple of days and it could hardly be better located, 10 min walk max. We also did a couple of days out, 1 in Bath and another at the Thatcher's Cider tour which we're both great and within easy distance. It was our first visit to this part of the country and there is so much more for us to see and we would definitely stay here again. I have nothing negative to say at all.
