This fabulous, detached holiday property is situated just a mile from the charming village of Wedmore, known for its abundance of shops, cafés, and restaurants. The Lodge serves as a great base for exploring this picturesque part of the country. Nearby, you’ll find the historic city of Wells with its famous cathedral and Bishops Palace, the mystical town of Glastonbury, and the stunning Cheddar Gorge with its fascinating caves. Additionally, Bath is only an hour’s drive away, offering attractions such as the Roman baths and Thermae Spa.

A lovely clean and spacious cottage, a lovely walk to the village of Wedmore with 3 pubs and a few shops it’s about a 40 minute walk away from the cottage, lots of places around for days out, we had a great time.

Wedmore is well placed for visiting seaside and historic towns in Somerset. Plenty of good pubs/ restaurants vast majority are dog friendly and friendly staff. The lodge is clean and tidy and well furnished

The lodge is spacious, positioned in a quiet road. Garden is large and safe which was exactly what we wanted for our dog. Bed was comfortable and shower room was quite modern. The kitchen is well stocked and we found it easy to cook meals there on a few evenings we chose to eat in and relax. Recliner x 2 armchairs and the sofa are cozy and comfy in the lounge area. Be careful when you first enter the bedroom as the slope in the roof did catch me out a few times.We found many attractions nearby. Liked Palace gardens and Abbey in Wells.Glastonbury quirky and worth a visit too. Wedmore is lovely and offers many good places to eat out in the evenings it is closeby too. The Village grocery shop stocks a variety of special foods to treat yourself to. We visited, the Cheddar Reservoir, Ashton Windmill , Weston Super Mare, Cheddar and walked on the Brean Down.Blessed good weather , Somerset is beautiful in the sunshine. Only one suggestion,introduce a lamp lamps in the lounge as the main lights are quite bright. Or switch to dimmer switches. 9.5 / 10 😊
