Lovely cottage in a beautiful, quiet little town. I have never stayed anywhere so peaceful! Plenty of shops and places to eat within walking distance and lots of footpaths to explore the surrounding area (very hilly but worth it for the views!)Cottage is very comfortable and surprisingly spacious with all you could need, my only complaint was no tea bags/coffee and a pint of milk would be nice! Head to The Creamery at Castle Cary station for Sunday roast - a little pricey but well worth it!

The cottage was very clean but unfortunately lacked personal touches such as a welcome pack, dog bowls and although there was a tin labelled dog biscuits there were a couple in it that looked to have been there for a long time. The stairs were, as advertised when booked, steep, but they are very steep and really need a hand rail on the wall side. The bathroom is extremely small and showering was difficult as needs to be located on a different wall. On the positive side the cottage is perfectly located to the town and the downstairs layout is great, as is the garden and patio area which is a real sun trap.

Fantastic cottage. Really comfortable and quiet. Loved the summer house. Really nicely done. We want to book again! Loved Castle Cary too. Didn't want to come home.
