Enjoy Forde Abbey and Gardens, many historic houses, Yeovilton Air Museum, days out on the scenic heritage coast at Lyme Regis, or country walking, golf and fishing. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

This place is lovely and Linda is a wonderful host. Absolutely spotless and really spacious. Plenty of room for a family of 4, we have older teens so really we were 4 adults, yet didn’t get under each others feet like you may do in other holiday properties. The downstairs bedrooms are lovely and cool so no issues on the hot days, it was very comfortable. 2 miles from the centre of Ilminster and plenty more to be found within an hours drive (cheddar gorge for example). Top tip would be to reverse in the gate to park as turning can be a bit tight. Otherwise just enjoy, it’s really peaceful, very safe and a central base for plenty of exploring.

We loved the rural location with good road access. Even during the hot weather the downstairs bedrooms were reasonably cool and we could open the windows to cool the living accommodation on the first floor in the evenings. Linda, the charming owner, lives next door and so was on hand if needed, although was never intrusive. The local pub - The 5 Dials - had excellent food and service and there was also a Post Office nearby. We had a lovely week there, using it as a base to visit the seaside resorts of Lyme Regis, Seaton and Sidmouth as well as the town of Bridport and Cathedral City of Wells. We could thoroughly recommend it.
