Guests say

Harewood Barn is highly praised for its immaculate cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as festive decorations and provisions for pets. The property offers a peaceful, remote setting ideal for nature lovers, with wildlife sightings and walks to Wimbleball Lake. The secure garden is a bonus for dog owners, though some mention the remoteness requires driving to amenities.

Reviewers consistently mention the property's immaculate and spotless condition, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness.

The location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to nature, although some guests note the remoteness and the need to drive to amenities. The property's closeness to Wimbleball Lake and Exmoor villages is a highlight.

Guests find the barn very comfortable, with special mentions of the quality bedding, underfloor heating, and log burner. However, a few note that the sofas are a bit tired, slightly impacting the comfort score.

The barn is well-equipped for guests' needs, with a good kitchen, Wi-Fi, and a heated shed for drying. The lack of an upstairs toilet and a locked log burner in one instance are minor drawbacks mentioned.

The host's thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of festive decorations, carpet offcuts for pets, and fresh eggs. While these gestures are highly appreciated, guests should note that such personal touches may vary with each stay.

We had a wonderful time at Harewood barn. The location was idyllic as the barn was set back from the lake with spectacular views around the surrounding area. The barn was luxurious and spacious. It was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The equipment was new and in good working condition and we had everything we needed and more. The log burner was magnificent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evenings in front of the fire all cosied up. The owners were friendly and helpful and our little doggies were made to feel very welcome and had a lovely time. Dulverton is close by and we were able to buy everything we needed from there. The village had some great shops and places to eat too. The location is quite remote and journey time took longer driving on single track and windy roads but the views were worth it.

Simply superb. The threshing barn has been beautifully converted and is presented so tastefully. The super-efficient log burner (with wood included) was much appreciated as we were staying for two weeks during the wettest winter in a decade. So much thought has gone into making sure everything you need is provided for to make your stay comfortable, including a heated outhouse for drying wet coats and muddy dogs. It's all the attention to detail that makes this place so special – everything screams quality from the chopping board to the sharp kitchen knives, an abundance of toilet paper, washing-up liquid and so much more. The owners are so thoughtful and helpful. It was the perfect base for exploring Somerset and Devon. Bought some delicious free-range eggs from Louise's chickens back with us, too. Cannot recommend it highly enough.
