Arthur’s Den in Brixham is a well-equipped, comfortable chalet in a peaceful location, ideal for walkers and those visiting the area for work or leisure. Guests appreciate the proximity to the South West Coast Path, Brixham, and local beaches, as well as the convenience of parking and outdoor spaces. The property is praised for its homely feel and suitability for families and dogs. Some minor issues were noted, such as occasional maintenance needs and a lack of welcome pack, but overall, guests found it a pleasant and relaxing place to stay.
Most guests found the property clean and tidy, with only a few mentioning areas that could benefit from a deeper clean or a fresh coat of paint. The majority of reviews did not raise significant cleanliness concerns.
The location is highly praised for its peaceful setting, easy access to the coast path, proximity to Brixham, and suitability for walkers and dog owners.
Guests generally found the beds very comfortable and the chalet homely. Some noted the sofa was a bit tired or low, especially for four adults, but overall comfort was rated positively.
The chalet is well-equipped for a relaxing stay, with good internet, parking, and outdoor spaces. Minor issues included unclear heater instructions, a curled carpet, and suggestions for outdoor dining furniture or a soap dish.
While the property is described as homely and the owner helpful, several guests noted the absence of a welcome pack or small touches such as milk on arrival. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

Arthur's Den is a modest, but pleasant and comfortable chalet. The owners have evidently gone to some trouble to ensure that guests enjoy a pleasant stay. The place has a nice, homely feel and is well equipped. The immediate surroundings are not especially attractive, but the property is situated very conveniently as a base for exploring the area. My wife and I enjoyed the beautiful countryside as well as many local places of interest.

It is the second time we have stayed in Arthur’s Den, the situation is great for us for visiting old friends. The only thing is the lounge furniture has had its day and after our first stay we had hoped it had been upgraded but sadly not. Unfortunately the sofa is too low and not suitable when you have 4 people staying, apart from that everything else is very good.Patsy Macdonald
