The chicken shed dates back to the 1700s and used to be the home of chickens over many years. Lovingly converted by the owners, it has original features such as exposed beams and chicken coops. The building has been finished to create a perfect place for couples to make lasting memories.
Located in the village of Cold Ashton, this charming Grade II barn conversion is set on one level with underfloor heating throughout and enjoys extensive views over the surrounding countryside. Guests will love the open plan living area which has great character and an abundance of natural light. Locally there is a variety of pubs to escape to for excellent meals. The bedroom area features a comfortable double bed, and the bathroom has a walk-in shower. The open plan living space features a dining table for two, a sofa, Smart TV and double doors leading directly on to the gravelled garden and outdoor seating area. The kitchen has a small fridge, but no freezer. This overlooks the owner’s garden and is perfect for enjoying those long summer evenings together.
Situated in the small village of Cold Ashton, The Chicken Shed is perfect for a couple looking to explore the many attractions Wiltshire has to offer – just 5 miles from the M4. Within a short drive are the picturesque villages of Lacock and Castle Combe, both favourite locations for TV and film directors. Lacock features in Harry Potter, Downton Abbey and Pride and Prejudice, and Castle Combe was the backdrop for War Horse. Experience the Georgian city of Bath only 7 miles away by car. With its famous architecture, the Jane Austen Centre, and thermal spa (Thermae), the city offers something for everybody. The Roman Baths, The Royal Crescent, the famous Pulteney Bridge, and the Christmas markets are among the city’s many must see attractions. Nearby National Trust properties can be found within a short drive, as well as other stately homes. Head to Longleat Safari Park or visit Avebury and Stonehenge, all under an hour away.

A very comfortable stay at the Chicken Shed and due to the fact of being on one level made access to everywhere good. In a nice area in lovely countryside and a good position for Bath and surrounding towns.
