It had loads of room and everything was in working order. We booked this cottage as it was very close to Alton Towers, the drive there on Saturday was quite easy. We took the 2 minute walk down to the Fox and Goose pub on Friday evening for a bite to eat and a drink, the pub was so nice and the landlady very welcoming. The food was excellent and we had a great evening

Fixtures and fittings as expected from photos, spacious and comfortable for a family of four, with more than adequate cooking facilities. Two things which may enhance the property for future guests: 1) the lack of a full size clothes drying rack was awkward, having had to do a full load of washing after getting soaked - although there were three radiator racks, we had to also use coat hangers and items took days to dry 2) it was unclear where the property’s external general waste and recycling bins were located - not wanting to use a neighbour’s bin, we were unable to empty the recycling bin on check out Overall, would highly recommend the property - 15 mins from Alton Towers and 45 mins from Heights of Abraham - and would happily come back here on a future Peak District holiday.

Big rooms all comfortable and well appointed kitchen views from the back was over fields, and the front was out over the village church. The local pub was 2 minutes walk and served excellent food. Fantastic steaks but ask if you want these. Good centre for touring around but definitely need a car although there are walks around especially along the canal in the valley. Recommend it highly.
