Another (third this year I have stayed here) Such a lovely base for trips to Aldeburgh and Snape and of course relaxing in Thorpeness itself. Weather has been really good this week making it even more enjoyable. Feeding the swans at the bottom of the garden and watching the different Herons (at least three) Fun, especially watching the grey one land on the boat and survey the meare each morning!

We had a lovely week here at Fairways, our first time in the property, but not our first time to the area. We mostly stayed in this wonderful and well equipped house and relaxed and enjoyed the wildlife, Heron sharing the deck, wonderful dragonflies, never seen so many different varieties! The gorgeous baby moorhen and the deer over on the island! Aldeburgh and Thorpeness as lovely as ever. Would recommend a trip to Dunwich and the museum, very interesting, but would swerve the fish and chips at the cafe at the top of the beach , not the best! Food and beer at The Dolphin was excellent, also tried the Lighthouse. We didn't use the boat the deck area and chairs enough for us! Hope to be back some time soon with the wider family!
