This was a lovely comfortable cottage, ideally located on fringe of Saxmundham, ideal to explore Suffolk.Nothing we noticed to walk to, but undoubtedly walks around.Cottage was well equipped, big tv, nice but unusual cooker/hob etc. Beds very comfortable, and some great furnishings and artwork.Any issues, owner responded quickly and positively.Downsides; despite having seen the cleaners, the carpets in the lounge were covered in dog hair and quite a few webs in various places. Battery to hoover flat, so we left the carpet as was. Water pressure very low except in upstairs shower. Some doors missing from kitchen units. A door seal not in place on downstairs shower screen. Light above sink downstairs either didn't work or bulb needs replacing. DDidn't use garden. Looked nice but pretty small.A little bit of attention to details would really help, but did not deter from our stay.

A fabulous cottage in a very peaceful location. The lane leading up to the cottage is single track and difficult to navigate at times. The locals were very unfriendly and went out their way to not give eye contact, but then again we are not on holiday to socialise with the neighbours. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you could think of including a coffee maker and air fryer. The beds were very comfy and we all slept well. Our main issue was that the owners who lived at the top of the garden were a bit too intrusive, we didn't realise until we were there that they would be in and out the house using the washer and dryer. To be fair they had only just moved into their house and didn't have their own, but this should not have been our problem. One of them walked in the kitchen while I was in my nightwear which did bother me and the whole situation was upsetting my elderly and parents who just wanted to stay at the cottage and relax. To be fair I did agree it by text in the first instance, but it did get a bit much so we had to say something which made it feel really awkward. They were really apologetic and left us alone after this, but we felt the first three days (of our five) were ruined having to work around them and keep out their way. They were also doing some construction work on a building in the garden so we felt that we couldn't let our dogs out. They were such a lovely couple and were kind and supportive when our son took poorly on the last day and told us not to rush when we were due to leave. Its a shame because what should have been the much needed relaxing break we all needed turned out to be quite the opposite and very disappointing.
