Situated in the most idyllic coastal setting in the heart of the enchanting Suffolk countryside, these characterful and cosy, holiday cottages are situated on a large stud farm. Adjoining other properties, they have been renovated to a high standard and each has a private garden. Quiet and rural, the farm contains horses and natural birdlife, as well as superb country walks that can go as far as the beautiful heritage coast. Snape Maltings with its famous concert hall and wide range of shops and galleries is only 4 minutes’ drive, and the popular picturesque town of Orford, famous for its smoke house and harbour, is only 2½ miles. Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Framlingham, Dunwich and Southwold are all within easy driving distance. Shop and pub 2½ miles.

Barn Owl Cottage was exactly as described, immaculately presented with every thing I needed for a weeks stay. Very peaceful and relaxing, and despite being in the centre of a working farm the only sounds I heard were from the horses. Highly recommended.

If you like a quiet, chilled location, then Barn owl cottage is ideal for you.Even though it's next to farm buildings, absolutely no noises or smells to put you off.Very well insulated property, has everything you could wish for in a holiday cottage, a proper chill out location.The only things to get used to really, were the spiral stairs and the long driveway up to the cottage, but certainly not a problem for us.The only fault we found was the downstairs TV sound levels kept going up and down on their own, but we weren't there to watch TV, so not a massive problem.Highlights would be opening the curtains in the morning, looking over the fields with horses and goats frolicking around in the sunshine.

The perfect location for a getaway holiday in the peace and quiet of the country farm. The cottage is a beautiful conversion and is well presented and well furnished with everything you need for a perfect stay. The outside space is perfect for dining outdoors, or just relaxing overlooking the paddocks where you will encounter horses, sheep, goats and a happy pig. Local amenities are a few miles away, but nothing one wouldn’t expect for a rural retreat. The upper bedroom is reached by a spiral staircase, which may be a challenge for the less mobile; it also has a slopping ceiling to one side. The lounge/ kitchen diner is spacious and comfortable. Overall it’s an excellent cottage.
