Wake up and take a stroll down to the River Waveney (0.5 miles) for a wild swim, or spend the morning at the popular Beccles Lido (0.5 miles) – a much-loved outdoor pool. Set off on foot along the Beccles Marsh Trail, which starts from the Quay (0.5 miles), or hire a day boat there and spend a blissful afternoon messing about on the river. Further afield, make a beeline for the seaside town of Southwold (9 miles) to check out its colourful beach huts and traditional pier.
Step inside and make yourself at home in the welcoming lounge, where a wood burner and a Smart TV provide the perfect place to unwind. Step out onto the raised decking – a wonderful place to relax with a coffee and take in the country views – and keep an eye out for squirrels darting through the trees. You may be lucky enough to spot the occasional passing peacock. Steps lead down to a sheltered, pergola seating area, table, chairs, and a BBQ set the scene for al fresco dining. Private parking is available for three cars.
