Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Small courtyard with terrace and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced river in the courtyard, 10 yards away.. This first floor conversion of a detached boat shed, with the owner living on-site, overlooks the River Waveney in a private marina. The open plan living areas and floor to ceiling windows open out onto Juliet balconies and include a private sun terrace. Beccles is the heart of the Southern Broads that form part of the Norfolk Broads National Park. This quaint market town is host to delightful pubs, restaurants and artisan cafés. The River Waveney runs right through the town and you can hire day boats close by and there are marked walking routes and perfect wildlife spotting from the elevated position of the apartment. Beccles Lido, a traditional outdoor heated swimming pool that sits alongside the river, is a ’must see and do’ experience during the warmer months. To the east you can visit Lowestoft, with sandy beaches, traditional piers and fine seafood dining. To the west you will find Norwich, a fine city, home to a castle, cathedral and superb shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Beach 10½ miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants 400 yards.

Had a lovely stay here great views easy walking for shops and eating places comfortable could do with a bit of maintenance in places pillows need replacing having said all this we would stay he again

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was in a lovely setting. The lounge has a wow factor, it is large, airy and has stunning views. All the equipment worked well.But we came away feeling we had not had a 5 star experience. Some of the fixtures and fittings were showing significant wear, especially the shower tray. We missed the thoughtful touches we have experienced in many other holiday lets. There was no welcome pack and although there was tea and coffee there was nothing else, e.g. milk, shower/hand gel, useful information.

While the accommodation was clean, the outside steps, handrails and balcony were full of cobwebs (some looked as though they had been there for ages!). No welcome goodies. A big drawback was no info on emergency services, nearest doctor etc., or what to do with rubbish at the end of the stay.There was a folder of me use on where to eat locally, I.e. in Beccles. Some menus did not even give name of place to eat-also outdated prices,. But it was not updated as many of the places to eat in Beccles had closed. Luckily we had been to that area before, so knew places further afield.
