Wilma Cottage in Beccles is a cosy and welcoming retreat, highly praised for its dog-friendly amenities, including a secure garden and a convenient dog field opposite. Guests have enjoyed the local pubs, the cottage's homely feel, and the comfortable beds. The log burner adds to the cottage's charm, making it a snug haven, especially during colder weather.
The cottage generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests finding it clean and well-presented. However, a few guests noted the need for a more thorough clean in some areas, such as floors and outdoor furniture, slightly affecting the score.
The location is highly regarded, with guests appreciating the peaceful village setting, proximity to local pubs, and ease of access to nearby towns and countryside walks. The enclosed dog field across the road is frequently mentioned as a significant plus.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy log burner and comfortable beds. The cottage's warm and homely atmosphere contributes to the high comfort level experienced by visitors.
The cottage is well-equipped, with a well-kept garden and cooking equipment. However, some guests reported minor maintenance issues such as a non-functioning heating system, a broken landing light, and loose decking, which suggests room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
While guests have mentioned a lack of a welcome pack and some basic amenities, the provision of torches and decorations for Christmas shows thoughtfulness. It should be noted that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

A very comfy cosy cottage. Great location, very quite with field opposite to exercise our dog. We loved the detail and decorations for Christmas were a nice touch. Easy access to the coast, nearby Beccles and Bungay. Two great pubs in walking distance which take dogs. Food was good in both.

Loved this cottage so much!! Great for our little Doggy too. It was so cosy. Lit the fire every night we were there, visited the local pub for food every night and was very welcoming. Shame about the weather!! But because of that we will book here again so that we can explore a bit more. Forgot how dark it is at night out of a town!!But we came prepared!! And also the cottage provide torches.Great garden too.Highly recommend this place.
