Southwold has a wide range of great shops, cafés, delis, pubs and restaurants within stumbling distance. so you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. Alternatively, visit one of the independent grocers, bakers and butchers and cook up a storm.
A visit to Southwold wouldn’t be complete without heading off to the pier; dating back to the 1900’s, this was originally built as a landing point for the steamships which use to stop off at the town. You can also visit the lighthouse - this is a distinctive landmark at the centre of the town and has been guiding vessels into the historical harbour since the late 1800’s. A great location for nature lovers and twitchers, just a 25-minute drive to rspb Minsmere where you can discover some of the UK’s rarest wildlife and enjoy family-friendly activities. Shop 5 Yards. The photographers house was really lovely, well equipped with everything you need and more, very comfortable and plenty of room for our family of four.The house is situated right in the town of southwold which is a lovely seaside town with lots of coffee shops and bakeries all around. The beach is just a two minutes walk from the front door and has a wonderful sandy shore. The photographers house is a lovely place to stay or use as a base to explore Suffolk, we look forward to stay there again in the future.
