Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Violet cottage is simply stunning and finished to a high standard, featuring an open plan living space with wood burner and Smart TV, alongside a dining area and well-equipped kitchen area with breakfast bar, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There is underfloor heating throughout the property, as well as a bathroom with walk-in shower and heated towel rail. The comfortable bedroom features a zip and link bed that can be converted to twin beds on request, along with a separate dressing room with fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers and a dressing table.
Outside, the lovely patio area is accessed from the living room and offers garden furniture, chimenea and BBQ (logs provided free of charge). The patio overlooks the lawned garden where the chickens roam and the rear of the property has a lovely bench overlooking the fields - it is as green as they eyes can see here.

The property is just 5 miles from the city of Hereford which has an array of independent bars, shops and restaurants for guests to enjoy. Within the city there is Hereford Cathedral to explore which is also the location for the famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library exhibition. There are many walks and cycle trails to be had straight from the property and for breath-taking views try Hergest Ridge and Offa’s Dyke, or visit Hay-on-Wye and get to the gateway of the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. There is a pub serving great food within walking distance, and a shop/post office within 1 mile.

Lovely accommodation with everything you need for a peaceful break away. Great location with stunning views. Pub with high quality meals a short walk away and lots more within driving distance. Well equipped, warm and lots of nice touches which we appreciated. We look forward to staying again!

Violet Cottage has been a great base to explore this part of Herefordshire. The cottage is beautifully maintained, very comfortable, very clean with fantastic views across the rolling Herefordshire countryside. Jill and Gordon were great hosts, very hospitable, leaving us cake and apple juice, fresh eggs and milk on our arrival. The hens around the outside of the cottage during the week were good company. The walks around the fields and nearby countryside beautiful.
