Air source underfloor central heating, gas, electricity from solar panels, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included.. External games room. Enclosed decking and gravel area with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Hot tub for 6 (private). 3 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. Set within the owners’ working sheep and cattle farm in an elevated position to take in the stunning rural views. The lodge has private parking below the property from which there is an uphill walk and then approximately 6 steps to the front door, opening directly into the spacious open plan living space. Patio doors lead out onto a beautiful balcony area with spectacular views up the valley, and is the perfect space for relaxing with a glass of your favourite tipple as you watch the sun go down.
Nearby there are walks aplenty for the more active, and many open gardens to explore including Hergest Croft Gardens in nearby Kington. There is also the small breeds animal park, also situated just outside Kington which younger visitors will be able to enjoy all year round. Kington also provides guests with pubs and restaurants to enjoy as well as a number of takeaway restaurants if you are looking to enjoy a night in.
The property is just 13 miles from the popular town of Hay-on-Wye which is famous for its many book shops and annual Hay Festival, which attracts many visitors each year, including many celebrity faces. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

A lovely location for peace and quiet in a well equipped lodge. The owners are swift to reply should you need them . The lodge is very welcoming and has fire and hot tub being the highlights. Would highly recommend staying here.

Set up a very steep hill with alot steps up to it , offas dyke gives you picture perfect views. Log burner for cold nights and a hot tub for soaking aches and pains away . A games room for mini snooker , table tennis and darts. We did not use the games room as we felt we didn't want to venture away from the main building. The games room is a small wooden hut along from the decked area . Very clean and modern inside the main building and with good kitchen equipment. 3 bedrooms. Two doubles and one with single beds. There were four or us , 2 couples, and as we both have king sized beds at home , we found the double beds too small so one couple opted for using one of the single beds so they could be comfy. We used the hot tub but i personally found the chlorine extremely over powering. It even changed our jewellery to black from white gold ! We have since got them back to a decent colour. Decking outside does look old and could do with a good clean but it was end of season so not surprised. I did have a nasty fall off one of the chairs as it slipped through the decking gap. I clipped my ear on the table as i fell to the floor. Do maybe fill gaps of a sign to say be careful with the gaps on the decking. Also maybe warn guests that owner / worker does turn up early morning to treat hot tub , as he walked straight past bedroom window... i luckily had clothes on!! Wiifi was good Hot water good View amazing. Would i stay again. Yes
