Guests consistently praise the cottage's convenient location, comfortable setting, and the warm welcome from friendly hosts. The property is situated on a working cider farm, adding to its charm. Ledbury's attractions and amenities, including public transport, are within easy reach. While some minor issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many guests enjoying their stay and some returning annually.

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

The location is frequently highlighted as ideal, with proximity to Ledbury town, public transport, and attractions like the Cotswolds. The scenic surroundings on a cider farm are also appreciated.

Comfort is generally praised, with the cottage described as cosy and the bedding comfortable. However, one review mentions poor bed quality, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities are well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped and homely. Some concerns about heating control and bed quality are noted, as well as excessive cutlery. The approach lane's condition is also criticised.

While the hosts are described as friendly and helpful, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Situated in the heart of the Three Counties area and magnificent Malvern Hills, Ledbury is the perfect place for a holiday. Take time out to relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery, picturesque towns and villages, and superb countryside. The Old Kennels Farm is a small, friendly, family-run farm of 24 acres, where tasty apples are grown in the on-site orchard, and each autumn they are harvested to make cider that is transported to some of the most prestigious venues in London and various outlets around the country. The holiday cottages (refs UK41822, UKC1766, UKC1767, UKC1768, UKC1769 and UKC1770) are conversions of old farm buildings that are at the top end of the site and are all named after old varieties of cider apples.

The farm is perfectly positioned on the outskirts of Ledbury in picturesque Herefordshire. Ledbury is a pretty, well-kept town in the east of the county, with fantastic examples of timber framed buildings, including the market hall dating back to the 17th century. Explore the town’s cobbled streets, which in summer are adorned with the most beautiful hanging baskets, and which have won ’Britain in Bloom’ competitions. Half a mile easy walk will take you into the town centre, where you will find public houses and restaurants, a small leisure centre, swimming pool and a gymnasium. There is also a variety of small individual shops and two larger supermarkets.

Local attractions include Eastnor Castle, a deer park, exhilarating Landrover experiences, off roading, golf, balloon flights, family pottery sessions at Eastnor Pottery, Hellens Manor, Newent Heritage Centre and The International Centre for Birds of Prey. Visit Westons, where you can experience a shire horse dray ride, sample Westons Cider on the mill tour or simply wander through the courtyard garden. Newbridge Farm Park is where children can get hands on with the animals or explore the Hop Pocket Shopping Village. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Loved the cottage, very comfortable and homely BUT the beds were horrendous. Springs sticking through. Would put us off hiring again. Also the central heating was not in our control (owners had control) so sometimes it was extremely hot and sometimes we were cold.Far too much cutlery/knives and forks etc. Cottage was for two, so four of everything would have done. Owners very friendly and cottage in a good location but lane leading up to the cottages is poor, muddy and very potholed.

This was a great cottage in a very convenient location. The train station and bus stop were 5 minutes walk away. There was good outdoor seating for warmer days. Very comfortable!A small hand towel in the kitchen / dining area would be useful.
