Guests say

Guests are delighted with No. 1 Ash Cottage, praising its spaciousness, comprehensive amenities, and the outstanding hospitality of the host, Amy. The cottage's location is ideal for exploring local attractions and enjoying nearby pubs. The serene environment, complemented by birdsong, adds to the relaxing experience, although the absence of a local shop is noted. The property is well-received for its comfort and the thoughtful touches provided.

There are no specific comments regarding cleanliness, so it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

The cottage is well-situated as a base for visiting local attractions and towns, with easy access to pubs and restaurants. The peaceful setting is also appreciated for relaxation.

The cottage is described as spacious and comfortable, with a cool interior even in hot weather. However, there is a mention of an issue with the shower temperature, which suggests a slight deduction in comfort.

The property is equipped with everything needed for a stay, including kitchen essentials and a hairdryer. Internet connectivity is good, contrary to some comments. The only drawback mentioned is the very hot shower that seems difficult to adjust.

The host's thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of coffee, sugar, tea, milk, and cleaning products. While these generous touches are highly appreciated, guests should note that such gifts may vary and are not guaranteed.

Low Town gives exceptional views of the valley and Britain’s longest river, the Severn, whilst views from High Town were declared by King Charles I as ’the finest in his domain’. The cliff railway takes you between the two halves, and the Severn Valley Railway is a picturesque 16-mile journey following the line of the river. The town holds a street market and livestock market, and has many fine shops to explore, which are located between the fine houses and cottages within the town centre.

Nice place to stay in the area. Thank you! Note: few comments mention the internet, but for us the internet was perfect. I was working from the cottage with no isues.

Ideal base for local attractions [Severn Valley, Ironbridge, Kinver Edge, Black Country etc]. Nice pub to hand with friendly staff and locals, good beer, and food at weekends. Only a short easy drive to local towns of Bridgnorth and Kinver for supplies, food etc. Will be back for another visit to the area.
