Bequia is a beautifully decorated and immaculately clean cottage set in a tranquil, stunning rural location, perfect for those seeking peace and access to wonderful walks. Guests consistently praise the high standard of furnishings, comfort, and the warm welcome from the owners (and their friendly pets). The cottage is well equipped and ideal for relaxing after exploring the Shropshire hills. While the remote setting means amenities require a drive and the approach roads are narrow, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with guests feeling able to truly unwind and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as spotlessly clean and immaculately presented, with only one minor mention of a dirty sugar container. Overall, guests are extremely satisfied with the cleanliness.
The rural, peaceful location with stunning views is highly praised, especially for walking and relaxation. Some guests note the remoteness and narrow access roads, but most see this as part of the charm.
Guests frequently mention the cottage's comfort, cosy atmosphere, and high-quality furnishings. Comfy beds and excellent insulation are noted, making it a relaxing retreat.
The cottage is described as well equipped, with a fully fitted kitchen, log burner, games, and good dining spaces. A few minor suggestions for improvement (e.g., shower mat, hand soap) are mentioned but do not detract from the overall positive impression.
Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the owners, helpful local tips, and friendly pets. While some mention a welcome hamper and extra wood, please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for all guests.

Great as a complete getaway from it all. Take food and drinks with you as there is nowhere to “pop out “ to. Cooking facilities are good so we made some excellent meals and ate in the magnificent dining room finishing the evenings with board games. Breakfast on the decking was a joy.Certainly to be recommended as also central for the exploration of Shropshire.

Lovely cottage - it’s not criticism but how it could be improved ie bathrobes/ larger toiletries/ improvement to welcome hamper - better sat nav directions from A49 - a bit too isolated for us

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location surrounded by rolling hills and fields. There is nothing around except nature. It is a place to go to relax and switch off from the world. The surrounding places to visit like Ironbridge and Shrewsbury are gorgeous. We really loved looking around them. We also went to the RAF museum and Shrewsbury prison, which were fantastic days out. Things I wasn’t so keen on were the many potholes in the roads leading up to the cottage and ended up with two flat tyres. It is hard to find the cottage with the postcode given so thing what3 words would make it easier for visitors.
