The cottage is in a wonderful quiet rural location just a short drive to the nearest village of Clun. On the ground floor you will enter a very convenient hall/bootroom. There is a bathroom with shower. The kitchen is an excellent space for preparing delicious meals and has the luxury of a separate larder. The impressive log burner sits in an ancient fire place within the lounge; you can snuggle up on the very comfortable sofa with a glass of wine or just sit back and watch the flames. The master bedroom has a very romantic feel with exposed oak beams and wonky floors, the twin bedroom has the beds tucked neatly between the rafters. This character, cosy and comfortable cottage boasts a large lawned garden enabling you to enjoy the peace and quiet. Spot some local wildlife such as deer and birds of prey whilst waiting for the BBQ to cook! You’re within easy reach of numerous castles, mountains and the towns and villages of South Shropshire, Herefordshire and mid Wales. An ideal base from which to explore with friends and family.

A.E. Houseman's poem, A Shropshire Lad, defined Clun as 'the quietest place under the sun', and with its dramatic ruin of a Norman castle, Saxon church, the bustling river which flows under the 14th century pack horse bridge, and a country inn, Clun is a rural gem situated in the South Shropshire Hills. It lies on the Shropshire Way in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to the border of Wales, an area known as The Marches.
