Additionally, there are 500 acres of common land nearby, which includes a Roman fort. This historic site provides a glimpse into the rich history of the area and offers opportunities for exploration and discovery. Nearby places to explore include Ludlow, hosting famous food festivals and events throughout the year, there’s always a lively atmosphere. It has a reputation for fine foods, award-winning restaurants, speciality, and antique shops. An excellent base to explore the unrivalled countryside for picnicking and walking or nearby towns such as Bridgnorth and Bewdley (Severn Valley Railway), Ironbridge, Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Tenbury Wells and Leominster.

The Cider House is one of the best cottages that we've holidayed in. Everthing was just so comfortable; it was especially cosy in the evenings. The house is incredibly well-equipped. It had everything that you could need. Here are just a few examples: there was a good sized casserole dish when I made a stew with the lovely meat from the great butchers in Ludlow (DW Wall & Sons), electric scales, a helpful information folder. Also, the garden was completely secure which was great for our curious dog.The location was beautiful and remote, yet but there were so many lovely places nearby. You are spoilt for places with great independent shops (Ludlow, Bishop's Castle), pubs with great food and service, and of course amazing walks.I book my holidays early so I'm completely booked for 2027. I almost considered cancelling a booking so I could come back to the Cider House sooner; however, I will wait until 2028.🤞. Thank you for such a wonderful week.

Excellent cottage in a fantastic rural location. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Easily accessible walks from the door with amazing views from Nordy Fort and Clee Burf. We would definitely want to return in the future.
