We had such a lovely weekend. Was so nice to be quite remote with the beautiful surroundings. More than enough to do withing a short drives distance. We'd love to come back again!

Our 4 night stay in Rowan Lodge was great, the hot tub was welcome relief after doing all the tourist walking and sight seeing in Liverpool. Woodland's is a great setting, quiet and in the woods, unfortunately Rowan Lodge is situated beneath very tall oak trees that were shedding acorns and these kept us awake at night falling onto the roof, made us jump quite a few times in our sleep. Creature comforts were great, nice sofa to spread out on. The bedrooms are spacious yet cosy, the beds probably need replacing as the mattres appear to have lost their support. The ensuite bathrooms in both bedrooms are good sized but are in need of some tlc and modernisation, but still loved the large sized walk in showers. Loved the time in the lodge and would recommend the lodges to anyone.
