Nestling at the bottom of Clee Hill in the rural hamlet of Bitterley, the Cow Shed is a detached, single-storey converted barn on a ’mixed’ working farm. This beautifully presented holiday property has wonderful views over fields and hills, and retains many original features such as beams, yet with modern touches throughout. Ideally situated in superb walking country, yet within only 4 miles of Ludlow with Worcester, Bewdley and Shrewsbury within easy reach.
Paradise for walkers, at the bottom of Clee Hill, surrounded by fields and with shared country estate footpaths this converted barn could not be better placed. The traditional exterior belies the fact the interior has modern features throughout, but still manages to maintain many original features. The tranquil decoration of the open plan living/dining room is highlighted by the colourful comfy sofas. With its wooden floors and vaulted beamed ceiling, it’s just the place to relax of an evening and watch the large satellite TV.
The tranquil decoration continues through the dining area with its large dining table, easily seating 10 and into the well-equipped kitchen. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the barn, the comfortable bedrooms have en-suite facilities, one of which is a wet room. Apart from the natural sounds of the countryside, this lovely quiet location is ideal for a good night’s sleep – leaving you refreshed in the morning. The food centre of Ludlow is only 4 miles, and foodies will love exploring its many gourmet shops, whilst the nearest shops and pubs are just 1½ miles away. Shops and pubs 1½ miles.

We had a great week over Christmas in the Cow Shed. The location was excellent for us. It is in the countryside, on a working farm. The locals were friendly without being intrusive. There is easy access to Ludlow (15 minute drive), passing a major supermarket for supplies. There is space in the foyer for wet clothes and boots. The facility is open plan with two sofas and high quality furnishings (especially the curtains). The kitchen area is well equipped for oven and stovetop cooking. There are clear instructions on local amenities and how to use the facilities (TV, wifi, oven, microwave and washing machine). The two bedrooms, each with a bathroom, are very comfortable with firm beds and good quality linen. The building is well heated, which can be controlled by the thermostat. Wifi, TV, DVDs, books and a selection of local maps are provided. The only slight downside is that the TV is not smart, so streaming channels were only available on our tablets via the wifi. We would absolutely be happy to stay again.
