A beautiful detached cottage set in the heart of the countryside in the village of Orleton Common. Previously an old stable barn, this property has been refurbished to an excellent quality of finish with luxury fixtures and appliances, yet still keeping some of its former traditional aspects. Offering a homely welcome with fresh colourways and luxurious furnishings, you will feel uplifted in its presence. Resting on a very private plot in a lovely wooded area, surrounded by informal gardens and lovely little stream you can truly be at one with nature in this romantic location. The open-plan living area is tastefully decorated with dining for two and a large, spacious kitchen for you to prepare your meals with ease. The sitting area has high ceilings, exposed stone walls, stylish cream leather sofas and an electric fire keeping you nice and snug. At the end is a large king-size bedroom with a characterful, feature chimney converted into hanging space. The cottage is finished off beautifully with oak wood flooring throughout. The garden has a bridleway leading to the Mortimer Forest trail, a well-known walking area and a lovely scenic route to take. Orleton Common is a delightful little village, surrounded by bountiful countryside near the market town of Ludlow. The town provides a fascinating range of architecture including Ludlow Castle which is open all year round and well worth a visit. It is also within easy reach of popular attractions such as World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge, Severn Valley Railway, Berrington Hall, Croft Castle and Cardingmill Valley. An idyllic rural retreat; perfect for a romantic couple looking for a new adventure to embark on together.
Ludlow is a market town situated on the River Teme and provides a range of architecture including Ludlow Castle which is over 900 years old and is one of the first stone castles to be built in England. Today the castle is open all year round and hosts a wide range of events including outdoor theatre, food, art and literature festivals and many antique and art fairs. Below the castle, Millenium Green offers a large public riverside green and weir and provides excellent indoor and outdoor dining facilities via the Green Cafe located right on the riverside. A traditional open-air market takes place in the town square every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday throughout the year. The town boasts a many places to eat and drink , including Michelin starred pubs and restaurants as well as a number of exclusive boutique style clothes and gift shops.
