We felt privileged to be the very first guests and were immediately struck by the care and thought that has gone into making this a truly welcoming and homely place to stay. Communication throughout was excellent and clear, which made everything effortless from start to finish.The Christmas decorations were beautiful — especially the real tree — and really added to the ‘home from home’ atmosphere . The property is very well equipped with high-quality items, making it comfortable and easy to settle into.The location is good: an easy walk to the railway station and local shops, and despite a pub next door, we were never disturbed by any noise.We would definitely stay here again. As with many Victorian houses, the stairs are a little steep, and parking immediately outside is limited when the pub is open, but neither detracted from an otherwise wonderful stay.
