Stroll along the vintage high street and you’ll find a wonderful mix of antique shops, independent boutiques and inviting cafes. Further afield, head to Stratford-upon-Avon (16 miles) – the birthplace of William Shakespeare – or to Warwick (30 miles) to explore its magnificent medieval castle. For a lively day out, put on your glad rags and set off to Cheltenham (15 miles) to experience all the thrills and spills of a day at the races.
Park in your private parking area (there’s room for up to four cars) and head towards this charming cottage. Step inside and you’ll be welcomed by a light and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area that showcases country-chic decor. Exposed beams, warm wooden tones and a crackling wood burner set the scene for a cosy stay. Take a moment to unwind on the sofa in front of the TV before you head to the bright and cheerful kitchen area to whip up some dinner. Find all you need here for a self-catered stay, and share romantic meals for two at the wooden dining table – then pour yourself a glass of something cool and relax by the glowing wood burner back in the lounge area. At the end of the day, a sumptuous king-size bedroom awaits. Completing the stylish layout is a well-appointed shower room with large walk in shower and WC.
Outside, take a seat and soak up the picturesque views from the traditional stone-walled courtyard. At the rear, a sun-dappled terrace with a table and chairs overlooks the owner’s well-tended grounds – the perfect setting for a romantic al fresco dinner.
