Guests say

Crompton Cottage is a charming and well-equipped holiday home, praised for its cosy atmosphere and convenient location near local amenities and the Fleece Inn. While some guests found the beds comfortable and the welcome pack with Prosecco delightful, others noted issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and noise from the busy road.

Guests have reported concerns with cleanliness, including stained carpets, soiled appliances, and mould in the bathroom, suggesting a need for more thorough cleaning and upkeep.

The cottage's location is appreciated for its proximity to the Fleece Inn and local attractions, but the busy B road and associated noise have been noted as downsides by several guests.

The comfort of the cottage receives mixed reviews, with some guests finding the beds super comfy, while others report them as too soft and springy, affecting their sleep quality.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and decent heating. However, maintenance issues like damaged artwork, missing lamp shades, and untended gardens have been highlighted.

The inclusion of a welcome pack with Prosecco has been mentioned positively, indicating thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Nice little Cottage. Although its located on a busy road, we managed to get a car park always in front. Everything what you need, you can find - except a hairdryer. The carpt in the living room, needs a good clean or mayby at least in front of the main door, i recommend something else.Otherwise for a week stay it was good and ever so cozy

Overall, a nice cottage, but needs a few things to improve it (new mattresses - the current ones are too soft, hairdryer, recycling bin - a neighbour kindly let us use her bin, garden tidying.) Location wise, great for the fabulous Fleece Inn and for exploring the area. But, it's on a very busy and noisy B road with lots of lorries passing regularly, which is a downside to the cottage.

I booked this cottage as I was getting married at the Fleece, and wanted somewhere close to get ready. On the day of check in, which was stated at 3pm on website, I had to mesage and call three times to get the key box code. As no prior information had been given. Only to be told check in is 4pm. As a bride this added to all the stres. Once the code was received and check in was done, the cottage was lovely and had a good well equipped kitchen.
