Guests say

Hoden View is a well-appointed, clean, and comfortable cottage praised for its peaceful location and modern amenities. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as a welcome bottle of wine, and the ample outdoor space, which is particularly enjoyed by dog owners. While some guests suggest minor improvements, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Reviews consistently mention the cleanliness of Hoden View, describing it as very clean, well-maintained, and tidy. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to guests' overall satisfaction.

The cottage's location is frequently highlighted as peaceful and beautiful, ideal for walks and local amenities. Its proximity to attractions and the countryside setting are well-received, although the secluded nature and the dark lane to the local pub are noted.

Comfort is generally rated highly, with the property being described as cosy and well-furnished. However, some guests found the beds too soft and the seating arrangements could be improved, which slightly affects the overall comfort score.

Facilities and maintenance are praised, with the property being well-equipped and modern. Suggestions for direct garden access and more detailed appliance instructions are made, but these do not detract significantly from the positive feedback.

Guests appreciate the thoughtful gestures, such as the provision of wine and homemade biscuits. While these gifts enhance the experience, it is noted that such extras are a bonus and not guaranteed with every stay.

The accommodation is excellent with a really secure garden for my dogs.

The accommodation was just the same but due to cold weather outside in October we weren't warm inside due to the only heating being a small corner fire. I met up with 4 neighbours before on Friday who had just arrived and they were asking me how to get the C.h. working as there was no thermostat and no instructions yet the radiator was warm when we arrived so the cleaner must have known how it worked but pressing the start button on the boiler did not work for much longer than a couple of minutes for either willoe lodge or Horden view. Please ask the owners if this is a cost saving area they are using because it could be detrimental to anyone returning that has spent the colder periods here.

The outside space was perfect for our dog he loved racing round the field. I can thoroughly recommend the pub in the village their food is excellent and a visit to the valley is a must.
