This converted Cotswold stone barn is at the end of a quarter mile hard-surface drive. Positioned on a hillside above Broadway in the extensive grounds of a 16th century gamekeeper’s cottage it commands breath-taking views across the valley.
Buckland Wood Barn is a detached Cotswold stone barn, situated at the end of a quarter-mile long hard-surface drive. The Barn is in the grounds of the 16th century gamekeeper's cottage which has some 50 acres including a private wood and stream. It has a lovely, secluded garden where you can sit out and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The barn is situated on a hillside a mile above Broadway, the setting has breath-taking views across the valley (designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) up to Broadway Tower. This picturesque town is often referred to as the “show village of England” due to its beautiful honey coloured limestone buildings some of which date back to the 16th century. Visit the excellent butchers or the Broadway Deli to stock up on all the lovely, local produce that is beautifully presented inside and outside of the shop.
Right from your front door there are some fantastic walks, including the 100 mile Cotswold Way running all the way from Chipping Campden to Bath. Or for something different, wander through the lavender field at Snowshill, where they harvest 35 varieties of lavender. You can also admire Snowshill Manor or take a stroll down to the pub which is only a mile away.

The location of the barn in such beautiful grounds was very special and the owner encouraged walking on the estate. Located in its own grounds meant that the location was lovely and peaceful, with lots of birdsong. We saw deer from the barn window which was a bonus. The owner had thought of everything in terms of equipment and lovely furnishings, with great attention to detail. Large windows flooded the barn with light and there was a very nice outdoor table and chairs and recliners which got the sun most of the day. The icing on the cake was the location of the barn which was so near to Broadway with its independent shops and eating places. Also easy to reach houses and gardens, particularly Snowshill. Finally, the owner had put together a lovely welcome pack and couldn’t have been more helpful if asked for advice about local shops, eating places and walks. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again as many others had looking at the Visitors book.

Beautiful house in a fabulous location! A perfect base to get away from the world, and yet close enough to Broadway to treat yourself to some retail therapy and a dinner out.
