Excellent break, clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. One small niggle, cutlery drawer was empty, all found in the unemptied dishwasher. Perhaps milk would be a good idea in the welcome pack considering the distance to shops. Would certainly recommend.

The tv is too small for the room. Everything else perfect.

We spent a very wet five days at Church View in February 2026.The lodge is beautifully presented with high-end fixtures and fittings throughout. Because the weather was so poor, we spent more time indoors than planned, and the lodge was a peaceful, wonderful place to relax with lovely views. Our only minor critiques for an indoor-heavy stay would be the TV size and the sofas; while high quality, the two-seaters are a bit small for stretching out with a book. That said, the rural location is perfect for a quiet getaway (just keep in mind local shops are a 15–20 minute drive although the local pub is a few minutes walk and well worth a visit or two!). Overall, a fabulous, relaxing stay!
