9 Little Street is a cosy cottage praised for its excellent location in Haworth, with easy access to local shops, pubs, and scenic walks. Guests appreciate its warmth and the quaint atmosphere, though some noted minor issues with maintenance and amenities.
The cottage generally appears clean, but there are instances of oversight such as a dirty oven and full vacuum cleaner. Some guests found the cleanliness satisfactory, while others encountered issues that suggest room for improvement.
The location is highly regarded, with guests loving the proximity to Haworth's main street, local shops, and pubs. The convenience for exploring the area and accessing beautiful walks contributes to a very positive view of the location.
Comfort levels are generally good, with a warm, comfortable bed and a cosy atmosphere. However, some guests mentioned a creaking bed and issues with heating on arrival, indicating that while the cottage is comfortable, there are areas that could be enhanced.
Facilities are adequate but several guests reported missing basics and maintenance issues like a lack of wood for the fire, problems with the smart TV, and ageing appliances. These points suggest that the facilities meet basic needs but require attention.
Guests have mentioned a welcome bottle of fizz and a card, which shows thoughtfulness. However, the lack of basic provisions such as toilet tissue and firewood, which are not guaranteed, indicates that while there are thoughtful touches, consistency could be improved.
This end-of-terrace cottage lies just a moments stroll from the winding streets of the village centre of Haworth, tucked away within the historic Brontë Country. Hosting two delightful bedrooms, 9 Little Street is a delightful base to call home while exploring the beauty of Yorkshire. Be greeted by the open-plan living area, complete with a mix of contemporary and character touches, such as the woodburning stove and exposed beams. The kitchen is compact but comes well-equipped with all the essentials, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine, plus a tiled splash back and oak worktop combine for a lovely cooking area.
On the first floor lies a double bedroom, enhanced with wooden furnishings and matching lamps, whilst on the second floor rests a single with trundle bed. Trudle bed is ideal for additional younger guests. Completing the interior of 9 Little Street is a shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC. Sip on your morning coffee from the small garden, with table and chairs to relaxing on, before finding the ingredients for a hearty breakfast in a nearby shop. If you fancy a night away from the kitchen, Haworth offers a selection of traditional inns and restaurants, along with many shops for picking up sweet treats and gifts to take back home.
Learn about local history on a visit to the Brontë Passage Museum, or if you’re feeling adventurous, pop on your walking boots and head for the Heathcliffe and Catherine trails, offering a scenic route along the famous Top Withens. Skipton can be reached in 11 miles, offering a lively atmosphere around its cobbled streets, independent shops, eateries and its iconic castle which dates back to 1090. With all this, plus the spa town of Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales easily accessible, 9 Little Street provides an unforgettable stay, whatever time of year.
The little village of Haworth is most famously known for being the home of the Brontë sisters, and has become an undisputed literary mecca ever since. Nearby, visit the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an old steam railway which was brought to life in the film The Railway Children. The cottage was very comfortable, maybe the addition of extra storage in the main bedroom would be useful Really appreciated the outdoor area and overall thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The owner and cleaner were extremely apologetic. The cottage was very handy for the centre of Haworth and we walked everywhere. I enjoyed the powerful shower. The cottage was small but had everything we needed. There is limited parking at the front but often this was all taken. Haworth is an interesting place and we enjoyed our stay.

A few thinks that are easy fixes, toilet brush replacement, lose tap kitchen sink and very tight on/off knob to shower.
