About this property

Set in the countryside village of East Morton, West Yorkshire, is this stone built Grade 2 listed property, Spinners Cottage. Enveloped by rolling hills and nearby farmland, yet within a stone's throw away from local amenities, Spinners Cottage is the perfect base for a family of four, looking for a nature-filled staycation; two well-behaved dogs are also welcomed. Venturing down the long countryside lane, make use of the off-road parking, charge up your EV car, if applicable, and take in the stunning landscape of the Airedale Valley. Entering the traditionally kept cottage, with stone floors and exposed beams, relax in the homely sitting room, housing a woodburning stove and TV. On the other side of the stairs, you will find the open-plan kitchen/diner, designed with contemporary light grey cupboards, all the essential appliances, and a country-style dining table, where you can dine, socialise, and plan your impending adventures; you'll also find the perfect place to home your furry friend’s bed, nestled in a snug, feature fireplace. With panoramic views on your doorstep, take advantage of the private patio area, ideal for alfresco dining, or perhaps take a stroll down to the front garden, where you can sit and take in the tranquillity of the Airedale Valley. Once the evening unfolds, retreat to two spacious bedrooms, with feature fireplaces, airy interiors, and plush carpets; be welcomed by a king-size with TV, and a twin, with zip/link features, along with a deluxe bathroom, to enjoy either a soak or a quick refresh. Enjoy a country-filled break in West Yorkshire by booking Spinners Cottage as your home-from-home. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1093591 and 1147424, together sleeping up to 16 guests.

East Morton is a peaceful, rural village located halfway between Bingley and Keighley. The community is recognised for its perfect rural position, which is flanked by Rombalds Moor and the woods of Morton Beck on the northern side of Airedale valley and offers a variety of attractions such as Fardew Golf Course and The National Trust's East Riddlesden Hall. The Busfeild Arms, a public house named after the local Busfeild family who lived in the region in the 19th century, is a good place to eat, and the neighbouring East Morton Community Shop is a good place to fill up on necessities. Keighley, a larger market town with more attractions and amenities such as supermarkets, Devonshire Park, and Cliffe Castle, is easily accessible.

We had a lovely relaxing stay.

Owners go out there way to help, and obliging, very friendly, like home from home, we definitely would come back for a longer holiday. The village pretty.

It was horrible weather and we really enjoyed using the woodburning stove which was easy to light and very cosy. Personally we did find the beds very hard though - but we realise some people like hard beds. Be aware that the roads to this property are very rough so if you have a small car, this could be a problem.
