While some guests mentioned minor issues, the overall experience is reflected in the thoughtful touches like welcome gifts and attentive hosts.
Most guests found The Mistal to be clean and tidy, with only one review mentioning a dirty oven tray and bathroom. The positive remarks about spotlessness suggest a high standard of cleanliness overall.
The location is generally praised for its beautiful views and proximity to Howarth, though one review noted the hilly terrain and access via an uneven farm track, which could be challenging for some visitors.
Guests have found the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, with only a single mention of a desire for more flexible heating. The overall sentiment is one of comfort and ease.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and plans for outdoor seating. However, some guests suggested improvements such as a hairdryer, patio furniture, and better maintenance of the wardrobe and drawers.
Several reviews appreciated the thoughtful welcome gifts, including wine and biscuits. It's important to note that while these gestures are well-received, they are not guaranteed for every stay.
