Guests say

Guests have praised the lodge for its beautiful presentation, spaciousness, and comfortable beds, with a particularly impressive master ensuite bathroom. The rural setting offers a peaceful atmosphere and proximity to local attractions. Some guests received a warm touch with milk and cookies, though such gestures are not guaranteed.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge is generally found to be very clean, with one report of overlooked dog food under furniture suggesting a minor lapse in thoroughness.

The location is appreciated for its rural feel and proximity to local attractions, though some guests experienced difficulty finding the property due to incorrect naming and lack of clear instructions.

The lodge is consistently described as comfortable, with a special mention of the quality of the master bed and the spaciousness of the rooms.

Facilities are well-regarded with a well-fitted kitchen and lovely views, but some maintenance issues and lack of certain kitchen items are noted. Additionally, the need for clearer information and emergency contacts is highlighted.

While some guests mentioned receiving milk and cookies, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency of thoughtful gestures across all stays, and as such, these gifts should not be expected.

Good access to dog walks. Some small details such as lack of housekeeping items such as hangers, hand wash, bin liners, loo brushes and hair dryer. Only one cushion for the two outdoor seats. Also, welcome pack of milk and biscuits is kind but no welcome information - contact in emergency, equipment operation, local activities etc

Great location & outlook & proximity to Sewerby Hall & Cliffs. Great walking & lovely to have the facility of the Golf Clunhouse nearby for drinks on their wonderful terrace. Some comments both for future clients &/or for owners & letting agents to consider : -The entry key pad to access the key for the front door is very loose & actually fell out if it’s socket once. - No tea pot or milk jug in the kitchen which we found strange ? - No beer mugs or beer glasses ? - No plastic picnic style glasses to use on the deck for safety ? - Very limited cutlery with only 4 teaspoons & No serving spoons, few food serving bowls & limited oven baking trays. Sadly - Some items were broken when we arrived as in kitchen towel rail, & external trim of sliding door to deck area. It must be said too that the Bed linen to spare twin bedroom was of poor quality & not great to use. Unfortunately, we found all sorts of dog food especially a giant dog chew & various solid food pellets underneath the lounge footstool when we moved its position - which means the cleaners hadn’t cleaned the lodge thoroughly after that previous clients. Having said that we enjoyed our stay (apart from the awful weather) & improvised using kitchen equipment to cook some marvellous meals. It was a good week. We left early due to the weather & incessant rain. But would return to the site in the future but perhaps to a lodge away from the main access road into the site m.

This info will help you find the lodge easier when you arrive. What a lovely quiet setting. Very rural feel to it. Lodges are all nicely spaced out so not on top of each other. A lovely spacious lodge - and wow you will love the en-suite bathroom. Well fitted out with a big fridge and freezer ample space for a weeks worth of shopping. There is a really useful larder unit (love that idea). Take some coat hangers if you like to hang your clothes in the wardrobes). Tip: I found on the last day!!! The airer for washing is under the bed. If only I had known. All lovely soft towels provided (although I took my own). The king size bed - at last I have found a comfortable bed in a lodge. My only criticism- needs blackout blinds or liners on curtains - awake with the larks as it gets very light early. Flamborough seems to have a fly problem - take some fly spray Superb view from the balcony, and a route down to the beach. A lovely sun trap and completely safe for children or pets. Bin store near the Golf club house. The restaurant only do breakfasts and light lunches (evening meal would have been a bonus). If you like to watch TV - I don’t know why but some channels need a pin no a bit odd we wanted to watch ITV X but Needed a pin no. Will definitely be back- soon I hope.
