We loved our stay at the beach hut in Flamborough, it is a Beautiful property with a lovely outdoor area which was fantastic for seeing the stars on a night. The house was very clean and well equipped, we felt at home immediately. In the run up-to to our stay I noticed some negative reviews pop up about the property which was a little unsettling but I can honestly stay there wasn’t a single problem we encountered the property was well presented and We will definitely be staying here again in the future!!

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at the Beach Hut (Sep 2025) due to the lack of cleanliness, smell of damp downstairs and the tired, worn out fixtures and fittings downstairs. On arrival it was clear to see that there had been a major lack of attention to detail with making sure the property was ready for new arrivals. The floors had not been vacced well with bits felt underfoot, there was dust and hair under the bed in the main downstairs bedroom, and in the living room sadly it was the same story with excess dust, crumbs and hairs under the settees, not to mention they had not even been brushed and looked like they had not been cleaned at all. Positively there were more than enough towels but many were very worn and tired, the same could be said for some of the bedding and the pillow cases which actually showed stains from what we assumed would not come out when washed. In fact there was brown stains to the underside of one of the duvet covers in the upstairs double room.We did approach the owners about the condition of the property who chose not to phone back and would only text, despite us trying both numbers, and in fairness offered to get the cleaner in the next day, but we did not want our stay disrupting any further with us having two young children and a dog which I believe is quite understandable.One of the worst areas was the kitchen whereby there was very thick dust / dirt along the skirtings, black marks on the doors to the hall area and Food splashes on the kick plates along with ground in dirt on kitchen doors. One of my biggest disappointments is the lack of ownership taken by the owners as to this problem, both during the stay and on return. Even though we had to make an official complaint on return, the owners attitude is that of saying our expectations were too high, I don’t think so, take some responsibility for presenting your property in a dirty worn out condition. This attitude even to date is like they don’t really care and we are just another weekly rent who’s had to put up with a sub standard property..My advice on this one is do not expect the property to look like the pictures, it’s tired, worn and unclean. Even the exterior presentation and tidiness outside in the front drive area left a lot to be desired. On the other hand the location is excellent, it’s situated in a lovely neighbourhood and the property layout is brilliant for families. The enclosed garden is exactly that (Be aware of the gardener who will turn up unannounced) which clearly can be an issue with anybody taking their dog.I would like to point out to the owners that it is unacceptable to think the way the property was presented was acceptable, because it was not.

Sadly we had to ask to be moved due to cleanliness and very tiered looking bedding and towels.The owners were very good about it and agreed for us to be relocated.
