We had a lovely stay here. The cottage is very clean, tidy and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable and we liked the choice of extra pillows and blankets. The location is quiet but within easy travel to Hull, Beverley and surrounding countryside. There are neighbouring residents very close by but it’s not intrusive.A small thing but we did note that anyone with mobility issues might struggle with the shower over the bath and the bathroom could do with better lighting. In summer we’d recommend you take sleeping mask as one bedroom has a high level roof light with no blinds.Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Having been born and brought up not far from South Cave, it was lovely to come back to the area we used to explore as kids. The cottage was a real home from home with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The treats left for us and our dog Archie made a lovely welcome. The enclosed garden was a real bonus, as were the lovely walks along Drewton Lane. We can highly recommend the Farm Shop Cafe for delicious cake & coffee. The shop was full of amazing treats too. All in all it was great base for visiting family & friends and we would highly recommend The Old Cowshed.

We really enjoyed our stay for a week in the Old Cowshed. Beds were great, we were able to cook fine in the kitchen and the lounge was comfortable after a long day out. Storage for groceries was a bit limited but we rearranged the cupboards and managed.Bathroom was fine, a heated towel rail would be a good addition. The bedrooms have feature skylights so if you like it to be dark bring an eyeshade. We didn't visit the farm shop in the end, but there were plenty of food shops fairly nearby, on the way to places we visited.Welcome pack was good. We went birdwatching, there are lots of sites nearby, and also did a great bike ride from Millington about 30 mins away. Looks like there are a lot of good gravel rides also but we will.save those for next time!
