The bustling town centre has an old-fashioned air to it, with a nice range of local shops, pubs, and cafes, while nearby Hornsea Mere is Yorkshire's largest natural lake, offering sailing, fishing, and boat trips. Hornsea Freeport is a popular shopping destination, and Bempton Cliffs rspb reserve, which has one of the greatest mainland puffin populations in the UK, is just over half an hour away.
