The cottage had a lot of character and was tastefully furnished and comfortable. It was in lovely surroundings with views across the fields but accessible from the main road. There was plenty of hot water for the shower and bath, but in the very warm weather we didn't use the outdoor hot-tub! Had some great swims in the sea at Fraisthorpe beach.My only suggestion is that the sign on the road needs to be more visible, as it is an awkward turn that we missed initially.

A lovely break at The Hay Loft. We were made to feel very welcome and really enjoyed the cottage. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable.We loved the local wildlife and especially the barn owl who eventually put in an appearance. It was a real joy to watch the owl hunting from the seats at the front of the cottage.The hot tub was wonderful too, and a great way to unwind after a hard day exploring the local attractions. Thank you for giving us a lovely base from which to explore a bit of the very special Yorkshire countryside and coast.
