Resting in the heart of the village of Holmfirth, close to a range of amenities, lies this stone-built cottage on elevated ground, Victoria House. Tucked away in the Holme Valley, this semi-detached home serves as an excellent base for families eager to explore the surrounding countryside, including the scenic Peak District National Park. After parking up on the driveway, climb a set of steps to reach the front door, Discover the kitchen, finished to a contemporary standard with all the mods and cons required for a short break, including a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and electric oven with induction hob. After a day of hiking the peaks, retire to the sitting room, complete with two sofas and a Smart TV, it’s a homely space for the perfect night in. Each of the bedrooms have been thoughtfully furnished with fresh bed linens and storage units, while the shower room offers a contemporary space to prepare for the day. Morning coffees can be enjoyed at the bistro table on the patio in the private garden area, before popping into a nearby café for a warm breakfast. There are also a plethora of restaurants and shops in the town, along its own charming picturedrome, art gallery and even the breath-taking tourist attraction of Shaley Top. this time we were lucky, and after sitting in a 3 hour traffic jam, were pleased to find a house perfectly located, with spacious rooms, everything we needed, and more than adequate parking. the house was clean, and the kitchen well equipped. the bedrooms were comfortable, but best of all, the garden, despite being between 2 roads, was actually very calm and peaceful. my wife didn't want to leave. we have been looking for a property in holmfirth, and my wife said with it's facilities and location, she would be more than happy to live here if it ever became available. thank you for a lovely stay

The property is very well presented and maintained offering a comfortable and clean place to stay. You can walk into town within five minutes and the supermarkets are within walking distance too. There are several well known visitor attractions nearby as well. All in all a super little holiday home - highly recommend. âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

Itâs right in the centre with only a 3 minute walk to what I call the old town with bags of history. The house has good easy parking comfy beds a really nice Kitchen etc canât fault it
