High above the traditional Yorkshire market town of Bentham and overlooking The Great Stone, this wonderful hamlet is well-situated to see all of Lancashire and Yorkshire. The Great Stone of Fourstones itself is a relic from the Ice Age, standing on the boundary between counties and has become a notable feature of the landscape. From here it's possible to see the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and The Forest of Bowland, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visitors can use this wonderful little hamlet as a base for walking holidays across the famous three peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent whilst the less active may enjoy the range of amenities at nearby Bentham. These include a good variety of shops and a range of pubs and restaurants.

There was plenty of room and the downstairs bedroom was great for my mum and dad. A secure garden for our dog to enjoy . Spotless throughout with plenty of kitchen utensils to self cater. The beds were all really comfortable with nice bed linen and towels . The bath is gorgeous to relax in after exploring the surroundings. The dales are stunning and also near to the lakes in a car . A very peaceful place to make memories with the family .. we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!

We always book bigger than we need so we get certain amenities such as a ground floor bedroom for my mum, and a secure garden for our rescue dog who is a little nervous. This place is huge and the secure garden is massive, with views all around. We now have Usherwoods on our list of places suitable for escape from fireworks for nervous dog
