This spacious Skipton cottage offers good-quality accommodation in the very heart of this wonderful market town. This Skipton cottage features an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, small dining area and a warm and cosy sitting area. The sleeping accommodation consists of a delightful main bedroom, a small double room and a single bedroom. Outside this cottage in Skipton is a sheltered patio area, ideal for sitting out after a long day exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
Skipton, well known as The Gateway to the Dales, has a medieval castle, canal boat trips, a swimming pool, golf course, excellent cycling routes, tennis courts and a myriad of walks, including easy rambles and challenging fell walks within close proximity of the town. Also close at hand to this Skipton cottage is a wide selection of restaurants, tea rooms and coffee shops for eating out, whilst the traditional market sells fresh produce throughout the year including local cheeses, fish, meats and fresh vegetables. A lovely Skipton cottage, whatever the time of year.
Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales have to offer. This market town boasts an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. Enjoy a canal trip on a traditional barge or visit Embsay Steam Railway, which has regular steam train excursions at the weekend and is only 1 mile away.

Parking is such a bonus after a long drive. The cottage is very clean and comfortable. Only a couple of minutes from the town centre but you wouldn't know how close you are because it is so peaceful. Lovely to sit outside and just listen to the bird song. This is a grand base from which to explore - Salts Mill in Saltaire is amazing, Ilkley is very worth exploring, Grassington is lovely and although only small, if you need plants then Twin Locks is a great place. Be back soon.

The location of the property is fantastic. Your so close to everything Skipton has to offer and the parking is great. The property itself was very clean. Kitchen is new and very well equipped. The living room was great. If you fancy a movie night in you'll be well catered for with the DVD collection on offer. Upstairs is again clean loads of storage. shower over bath was ok for us, maybe the bathroom could do with an upgrade at some point to match the new look downstairs, but we were more than happy with it. We have stayed in skipton multiple times over the years and we shall definitely book Hallams Yard again.
