The spacious sitting room with lovely beams and a cosy woodburning stove is a delightful space to relax and unwind and admire the views through the feature window across the outskirts of Grassington and to the hills beyond.

This wonderful Grassington cottage is just a two-minute walk from the famous village centre with its old curiosity shops, excellent local pubs, good eating establishments and, of course, the old, cobbled square where various village events take place and All Creatures Great and Small is filmed.
Add to this the annual Forties Weekend and the close proximity of many of the Dales' famous tourist locations and you have a Wharfedale cottage that ticks all the boxes.
The area is a walker's paradise, with beautiful walks in the village surrounds, as well as more challenging walks into the nearby hills, while the Dales Way passes right by the front of the house.

Grassington is a lovely village in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, on the River Wharfe, home to traditional stone cottages and a cobbled market place. Down dale is Bolton Abbey and up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden with wonderful limestone scenery. Enjoy great walking and explore Bronte Country and York, within easy driving distance.

Perfect in many ways, listed belowâ¦. Location - just a few minutes walk to Grassington square. Comfort - bed and seating and good heating Facilities- everything thought of and really well equipped. Also lucky enough to have great weather for the week so did plenty of walking - Grass Wood, Hebden, Burnsall, Dales way to Kettlewell. All creatures great and small also being filmed in the village- amazing how they change the look of it. If we stop in Grassington again weâll definitely stop at the Shippon.

Extremely comfortable beds and lovely cotton sheets. Kitchen has everything you need to self cater, and nice to find a range of baking dish sizes - a steamer insert for the saucepans is the only thing missing (or I couldn't find). Off street parking a definite plus. Generous supply of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. Definitely a cottage to return to.
